Enhancing Luminescence Efficiency by Controlled Island Formation of CsPbBr<sub>3</sub> Perovskite

Abstract CsPbBr 3 is an inorganic perovskite material that promising for light‐emitting applications. Such applications are known to benefit from island‐type active layer structure, which enhances the device's light emission efficiency. Here, impact of environment on island formation in thermally deposited bilayers /LiBr investigated. It demonstrated occurs only humid environments, leading enhancement photoluminescence quantum yield by a factor 350. Time‐resolved grazing‐incidence wide‐angle X‐ray scattering experiments document growth process and reveal LiBr has already changed crystal orientation prior formation.
